Property Planning Permit for Residences within 10 Days
New data for the citizens is created by the new urban planning procedure, which mainly concerns applications for the construction of residential buildings and two storey block of flats.
From October 1, 2020, applicants will be able to submit for a planning permit applications to all the planning authorities of the country (4 large municipalities - offices), which will be examined and if they meet the necessary conditions, urban planning permits will be issued within 10 days.
Relevant documents are submitted electronically and within 20 days if the papers are submitted in printed form.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this regulation, which falls within the framework of a broader integrated policy, aims to overcome the difficult and time-consuming procedures required today for the issuance of urban planning permits for family homes. It is noted that almost 62% of urban planning applications today concern applications of ordinary citizens (and not investors) for the construction of a two-storey house. For this specific form of licensing, on average, a period of almost 18 months is required today.
