Estate Agent Assistant - Registration

The Cyprus Real Estate Agents Association maintains a register for the licensed real estate agents as well as a register for the assistants’ real estate agents.

Real Estate Agent Assistant - Definition

“The employee that is registered as an "Assistant Real Estate Agent" were means a natural person who is employed as an agent of a licensed real estate agent, he/she is registered in the Registry of Real Estate Agents Assistants under the provisions of the Cyprus Real Estate Law and carries out real estate duties with instructions given from the licensed real estate agent.

The right of the registration to the Real Estate Association as assistants has:

- Citizens of the republic of Cyprus

- Citizens of a member state of the European Union

- Citizens of a third-countries / Third-country nationals

The whole procedure of the application / registration have to be managed by the licensed real estate agent as the director and owner of the of a real estate agency - company.  

Prerequisites for securing a place in the register of real estate assistants are:

- The applicant has not been declared in bankruptcy.

- The applicant has not been convicted of an offense associated with lack of honesty and/or ethical use.

- The applicant has sufficient knowledge about real estate and land development legislation where needed for the correct exercise of the profession.

Required certificates/documents that must be accompanied with the application for the registration register of real estate agents – assistants register.

1.      Copy of the identity card/ passport

2.      High school graduation certificate

3.      For third country nationals / citizens, will be necessary to provide a certificate from the ministry of education and culture of the republic or the competent authority of the third country which certifies that the school is recognized by the authorities.

4.      A copy of pure criminal record certificate where has been recently issued (30 days)

5.      Copy of non-bankruptcy certificate where issued by the bankruptcy and liquidation sector of companies

6.      Detailed statement of revenues from the social insurance organization

7.      Copy of employer insurance coverage

8.      Employment contract
